How to airlift lithium ion batteries ?
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) issues regulations on the transport of Dangerous Goods by air, the DGR. The current edition — number 58 — has introduced stricter restrictions on transport and packaging of Lithium-Ion batteries after an increasing amount of incidents. It is imperative to develop and use packaging that is compliant with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and to follow all other aspects of the regulations.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of 18650 batteries and polymer lithium batteries?
18650 battery is cylindrical, there is liquid inside, because of battery design and materials, 18650 is suitable for high current, so almost all notebooks, electric cars are designed with 18650 battery; only super notebook, because of energy saving, so can not be used 18650 battery and use polymer lithium battery, especially tablet computer; digital camera because of the charge and discharge of the flash requires large voltage and instantaneous high current, so only 18650 similar battery, but the volume is slightly smaller;
Does the lithium battery need to protect the circuit board ?
Generally, the battery has a protection circuit board, and the protection circuit board is also used for the safety of the battery. But different types of battery protection boards work differently. For overcharging, overdischarging, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection of lithium batteries, it is important to design protection circuit board in the battery pack to protect the lithium battery.
How to calculate the lithium content of lithium batteries?
According to the relevant provisions of the "Lithium Battery Air Transport Code" issued by the Civil Aviation Administration:
1. When the battery in the spare battery or equipment is transported as baggage, the lithium content of the lithium metal or lithium alloy battery does not exceed 2g;
2. The rated energy of the lithium ion battery should not exceed 100Wh;
3. For large-scale lithium-ion batteries with rated energy greater than 100Wh and less than 160Wh, they can be carried with them after approval by the air operator, but the number of carriers must not exceed two.
4. The equipment containing lithium battery can be placed in checked baggage or hand luggage, and the spare lithium battery can only be placed in hand luggage.
What is KC certification? What are the requirements for factories to pass KC certification?
The KC (Korea Certification) certification mark signifies compliance with Korea’s product safety requirements for electrical and electronic equipment and components that utilise power from AC 50-1000V.
